By using slowdown you agree to these terms. The service is provided as is, with no guarantees of uptime, delivery time, or data preservation. We do our best to deliver every letter, but software fails sometimes, and we are not liable for letters that arrive late or do not arrive at all.
You are responsible for what you write. Do not send letters that harass, threaten, impersonate, contain illegal content, or that you do not have the right to send. We may remove letters and suspend accounts that violate this, at our discretion and without notice.
You keep ownership of what you write. By sending a letter through slowdown, you grant us the technical license needed to store and deliver it to the recipient. We do not read your letters, we do not use them to train anything, and we do not show them to anyone other than the sender and the intended recipient.
Friend connections require mutual consent. You can block any user from contacting you, and you can report any letter that breaks these terms. Repeated violations lead to account removal.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting removes your letters, notebook, postcards, friend connections, and personal data from our servers, and this cannot be undone. We may also close inactive or abusive accounts, with reasonable notice when possible.
Slowdown is a personal project. Features may change, and the service may be discontinued in the future. If that happens, we will give you advance notice and a way to export your letters.
These terms can be updated as the service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated version. For questions, reach out at [email protected].
